New Program!

A woman and a horse walking together in an outdoor arena.

🌿Return to Self

What is Return to Self?
Return to Self is a small-group experiential program for women who are ready to slow down, spend meaningful time in the presence of horses, and create space to listen more closely to themselves, their needs, and the path ahead.   Return to Self is not just something you attend — it’s something you experience. 🌿🐴

Why horses?
Horses are central to the experience because they are highly responsive to what is happening in the moment. They notice body language, energy, tension, hesitation, clarity, softness, and presence. In this way, they can help make visible what we may not notice in ourselves, while inviting us to slow down, stay present, and connect in a calmer, more grounded way.

Why six weeks rather than a workshop or weekend?
This program is purposely designed to be more in-depth than a one-time retreat or workshop.

Instead of offering a single reset, Return to Self unfolds over six weeks with a small group, repeated time with the horses, guided reflection, meditation, peaceful time on the farm, and connection between sessions. This gives you space to step away from everyday demands and allows the experience time to take root.

Through calm reflection over the six weeks, you will develop greater clarity about what you want to change, what you want to embrace more fully, the steps you want to take moving forward, and the insights you can carry back into daily life.

While many programs offer horses, meditation, or personal-growth experiences separately, Return to Self brings these elements together in a distinctive, integrated format.

This program includes:

At the farm*...
• Sunday, September 20, 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. — Opening horse workshop
• Throughout the six weeks — Reserved farm space where you can spend additional time near the horses to observe, journal, reflect, or meet with others in the group
• Sunday, October 4 — Two-hour Horse Body Language & Connection experience to build awareness, trust, and calm, respectful connection, with insights that carry into everyday relationships
• Thursday, October 15 — Group experience with breathwork, meditation, and horses
• Individually scheduled — One private Reiki session
• Sunday, November 1, 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. — Closing horse workshop

*Horse experience facilitators  bring decades of experience in both equine and human interaction, with specialized training and certification in Equine Assisted Learning (e3a and EAL Academy).  They use proven experiential methods with hands-on horse activities to guide each participant through their growth process. Group meditation and Reiki offered by renowned local integrative healing specialist Linda Frederick.

Virtually...
• Three evening Zoom check-ins to reflect, share, and support integration between the in-person experiences
• Ongoing connection through a private chat group throughout the six weeks, including reflection prompts and opportunities to connect with others in the group

The experience can expand to suit your needs
Beyond the scheduled sessions, you are invited to return to a welcoming space near the horses as often as you want to reflect, journal, slow down, or simply be present. The private group chat will provide additional reflection prompts and opportunities for connection between gatherings. These elements are yours to use in the way that feels most supportive, allowing the program to become as spacious and personally meaningful as you choose.

What can participants expect to gain?
Participants can expect to leave with greater clarity about what restores them, what depletes them, and what may be ready to shift. They will also gain grounding tools, greater awareness of how they respond and connect, meaningful relationships, and personal insights they can carry into daily life.

 Is Return to Self Therapy?

Return to Self is an experiential personal-development and equine-assisted learning program centered on horses, reflection, mindfulness, and connection.   While the experience will be meaningful and sometimes emotional, it is not a clinical mental-health treatment program and is not designed to diagnose, treat, or process trauma. Participants are always encouraged to share only what feels comfortable and may choose to participate, observe, or pass on any activity.

No riding or horse experience required.
